With an extensive history of successfully delivering exquisitely finished law firm space, and having performed numerous corporate interiors throughout One Front Tower, Principal Builders was the ideal choice for Covington Burling's One Front Street project. The primary challenge was meeting Covington Burling's tight time frame. They were scheduled to host a party in their new space—a party to be attended by California's governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger.
The challenge was heightened by an extremely short preconstruction and planning time period, and an interconnecting stair that linked the new Covington space with Covington's existing operational space. An aggressive procurement strategy and close collaboration between the structural engineer, the architect, Principal Builders, and our design/build stair manufacturer drove the project to an on-time, under-budget completion. The results? Covington Burling hosted a tremendously successful party in their new space, and remains thrilled with the process as well as the final project.
