With a successful track record of working together on past projects, investment fund management company Fox Paine called upon Principal Builders to renovate its existing offices, and expand the space to accommodate business and employee growth.

The 5,000 square foot expansion was completed in seven weeks ... and ahead of schedule. The video conferencing center represented the most significant component, with a state-of-the-art teleconferencing component that demanded detailed coordination between the architects at Gensler, the lighting consultant, audio-visual consultant, furniture vendor and electrical contractor to integrate all systems.

The biggest challenge, however, was the renovation and finish upgrades of the existing Fox Paine space. Due to the use of the space and Fox Paine's employee-centric culture and business environment, all upgrades had to be done during non-business hours.

To accommodate the situation, Principal Builders pre-planned the project to occur over six consecutive weekends. Beginning on a Friday afternoon at 3:00 pm activities and specialty contractors were sequenced in 30 minute increments through a given weekend. By 8:00 am the following Monday employees would return to their newly refurbished work environment. The plan was executed and pulled off with minimal disruption and stellar results.
